• House Judiciary will meet to address bills that include fining kids under 16 for not wearing a helmet while skateboarding, prohibiting mopeds on bicycle lanes and permitting dogs in restaurants (though not on the menu).
• Senate Energy and Environment will meet to talk about, among other things, a proposal to require deposit beverage redemption centers to be located at least one hundred feet from any residence.
• House Finance will meet to take up bills adding members to a vog task force, display fireworks and this odd measure:
Requires the Governor to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. Department of Defense to provide continued support for the military’s presence in Hawaii.
• House Finance will meet as well to consider bills on bail, parole, sentencing, conditional release and criminal history records.
• House Finance — yep, again; different hearing — will meet to take up bills on electric guns for the DLNR and a task force for a Native Hawaiian wellness center for the Big Isle.
• House Finance — not making this up! — will meet regarding public housing and homelessness.
