Feds Give Hawaii $7M For APEC

The federal government is giving Hawaii more than $7 million to help cover costs from November’s APEC conference, Sen. Daniel Inouye announced on Thursday. 

“I am very proud of the extraordinary effort put forth by the city, the state, and our partners in the federal government,” Inouye said in a statement. “None of that work would have been possible without the community’s commitment to sharing our Aloha spirit with the world.”

The money comes from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
