It’s hardly a surprise, but there it is in black and white. Dan Grabauskas‘ appointment as HART executive director will be considered at Thursday’s 10 a.m. board meeting.

Here’s the agenda. Other than Grabauskas and a report from Interim Executive Director Toru Hamayasu, there’s not much going on.

At the 8:30 a.m. joint meeting of the Finance Committee and Project Oversight Committee, the most interesting item will be Kiewit‘s report on subcontractor bidding and procurement.

That discussion will presumably seek to address concerns raised last month that Kiewit — one of the largest contractors on the rail project — hasn’t hired enough local labor.

UPDATE: Grabauskas is not flying in today, but is likely arriving in town Tuesday. He hopes to meet with the mayor and members of the City Council, and won’t be available to the media until after the vote Thursday.
