It’s a good week to be interested in politics. There was a presidential primary in Florida, a special election in Oregon and the firehose of information that accompanies quarterly reports due yesterday to the Federal Election Commission.

DC808 has been digging into Senate hopeful Linda Lingle‘s 463-page report. First we took a look at how the former governor spent about $360,000 last quarter. Civil Beat’s Patti Epler broke down the 75 political action committees that donated to Lingle.

It’s worth pointing out that the lion’s share of Lingle’s money last quarter — more than $1.5 million — came from individual donors. Just who were these donors? That’s what we’re looking into today. Check Civil Beat later for more.
