An environmental group is calling on the public to contact their state representatives and register opposition to what its being called a tsunami of bills this year that attack the environment.

Donna Wong, executive director of Hawaii’s 1000 Friends, has sent out an email that targets several House bills that are making their way through the Ledge.

HB 1813; HB 2613; HB 1893; HB 2613 and HB 530

From Wong:

After all, it’s an election year for the entire House and Senate and they should pay attention.
Your communications are needed simply to remind our elected officials that they work on our behalf and we do not want our environment destroyed by their expedient pursuit to create unsustainable construction jobs.
