Rep. Mazie Hirono is meeting with Hawaii representatives from the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) on Wednesday, according to a spokeswoman in Hirono’s Washington office.
On the agenda: Discussion of wage parity for workers who are blind. Finding jobs in the first place remains a major issue for many blind adults — 70 percent of them are unemployed, according to the NFB.
