Rogoff: FTA Won’t Let Local Politics Slow Down Rail

That’s one of the key things Federal Transit Administrator Peter Rogoff said in that conference call with reporters this morning.

We asked him about the new poll showing anti-rail mayoral candidate Ben Cayetano with an early lead. Rogoff said he’s paying attention, and the FTA might keep the race in mind when deciding on the timing of a Full Funding Grant Agreement with Honolulu.
