The Hawaii Senate will recognize and congratulate Kaui Hart Hemmings for her “many accomplishments” in Senate chambers March 1.

Hemmings, the stepdaughter of former state Sen. Fred Hemmings, is the author of The Descendants, now an award-winning film produced in Hawaii.
