After losing more than $2 million in federal funding, Bishop Museum has made staff cuts.
Blair D. Collis, museum president and CEO said in a statement:
“…we are addressing a loss of $2.2 million in federal funding and have needed to take this into consideration in our plans.
It is for these reasons that we are implementing a reorganization which includes restructuring our departments and some staffing. This will result in a reduction of approximately 8% of Museum staff. These changes will take effect February 10, 2012.”
