Honolulu doesn’t have to worry about six more weeks of winter, but there is a local event planned to celebrate Groundhog Day tomorrow.
The city will have 200 high school students “shadow” city workers. (Get it?)
The students will gather at 9:30 a.m. at Mission Memorial Auditorium, shadow the city workers until 11:30 a.m., and then meet Mayor Peter Carlisle and members of the Honolulu City Council after lunch in the Honolulu Hale Courtyard.
It’s all part of National Groundhog Job Shadow Day, sponsored by Junior Achievement Hawaii.
