Honolulu City Council member and congressional hopeful Tulsi Gabbard is in Washington this week. A spokeswoman for Rep. Colleen Hanabusa told DC808 that Gabbard stopped by for a “courtesy meeting to say hello” on Wednesday.
Hanabusa won’t endorse anyone before the Democratic primary in August, Hanabusa’s office said. Gabbard’s best-known opponent in the 2nd Congressional District race is former Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann, who is considered the frontrunner but lost some fundraising momentum last quarter.
