Department of Education spokeswoman Sandy Goya emailed me Sunday with an update on the investigation of Waipahu High School officials who didn’t call the police when a student accused her track coach of touching her inappropriately. (Read the full story here.)

A review of this case by the state office is underway. Superintendent Matayoshi has expedited an examination of applicable procedures and policies.
