By now most of you know that I am leaving Civil Beat to pursue other opportunities on the mainland. Today is my last day, in fact, and these are the last words I shall be publishing to my beloved Education Blog. (I fought hard to get this thing, and got it only months before my departure!)
I told my editors that I wish I could take this job with me when I move, because you have all blessed me and in your own various ways contributed to my continuing education. I’ve learned more than I could possibly have imagined I would when I embarked on this beat two years ago.
March 29, by the way, would have marked my two-year anniversary.
Don’t worry though, I leave you in good hands, and the education beat must march on. Toward that end, please, please, please continue sending your fabulous story ideas to Civil Beat’s newest addition, Nathan Eagle, at neagle(at)civilbeat(dot)com, and also to Deputy Editor Patti Epler, pepler(at)civilbeat(dot)com.
I will miss you all, but you will always be able to find me on the Internets, and the relationships I’m taking away with me are for life.
With warmest Aloha,
Katherine
