Honolulu mayoral hopeful Kirk Caldwell is holding his third fundraiser for the 2012 election tonight.

It’s scheduled for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Alonzo’s at the Mililani Golf Course Restaurant, and the suggested donation is $50 per person, according to a new filing with the Campaign Spending Commission.

In other fundraiser news, rail opponents are holding their own to help finance their lawsuit against the city and the FTA. From plaintiff Smart Business Hawaii‘s newsletter today:

You are invited to an evening of wine, pupus, and good conversation to “Save Our Honolulu” from the worst environmental blight and the most expensive project in Hawaii’s history.
