Mayoral hopeful Ben Cayetano promised his team of experts would start digging into city operations, and his “Truth Squad” is holding its first press conference tomorrow to share some findings, according to an advisory put out a few minutes ago.

“Just as we feared, Mayor Peter Carlisle‘s CIP budget reveals dramatic reduction in spending levels for Fire and Police, Road Rehabilitation and Sewer Repair and Maintenance to accommodate the anticipated debt for rail construction,” Cayetano said in the announcement.

Two of the Truth Squad’s nine members — former Fasi Finance Director Toy Arre and former Harris Deputy Managing Director Malcolm Tom — “will provide more specific information on how the Carlisle Administration have given rail construction priority over services that are important for public health and safety and infrastructure rehabilitation.”

The conference at Cayetano headquarters near the airport is open only to invited members of the media — presumably excluding the rail contractor/blogger who attended Cayetano’s last presser.
