The Abercrombie administration announced appointments to various boards and commissions:

To the UH Board of Regents (subject to state Senate confirmation):

Benjamin Kudo, appointed to the at-large seat. He is with Imanaka Kudo & Fujimoto. Tom Shigemoto, appointed to the Kauai County seat. He is with Alexander and Baldwin Properties, Inc. John Dean, appointed to the Honolulu seat. He is head of Central Pacific Financial Corp. Barry Mizuno, currently an interim appointment, appointed to the Hawaii County seat. Carl Carlson, currently serving on the board, reappointed to the Hawaii County seat. Jeffrey Acido, graduate student at UH Manoa working toward a master’s degree. 

To the Stadium Authority (subject to state Senate confirmation):

Odetta Fujimori is a former teacher and president of the HSTA. Scot Long is with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 1357. Edward Hasegawa has served on an interim basis since December 2011. He is a retired teacher and former vice-principal.

To the Board of Education (subject to state Senate confirmation):

Cheryl Lupenui, Nancy Budd and Keith Amemiya were reappointed to serve three-year terms.
