Interim HART chief Toru Hamayasu just told the board that heavy construction on the West Oahu Farrington Highway section of the project was pushed of for two weeks two weeks ago while the rail agency finishes some “paperwork.”
Hamayasu, giving his regular report to the board, said he’s “not happy” about that delay. But he’s still hoping the digging and column work will start before the end of March. That means today or tomorrow.
He told me after the meeting broke up that he’s still waiting on word from contractors, and honestly doesn’t know exactly where or when the first hole will be dug.
More coming soon, possibly in the next 36 hours…
