Hanauma Bay Open Friday

The Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve will open Friday, including the beach area, aftercity workers completed the extensive repair work earlier than anticipated, according to a press release.

Hanauma Bay’s beach area was closed today, but its upper viewing area and parking lot were opened. Workers addressed hazardous conditions by moving sand Wednesday and today to restore areas that were damaged by the recent heavy rains.
