The Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve will open Thursday, but the beach area will remain closed as a safety precaution, the city announced a few minutes ago.
Workers are continuing to repair damage from the recent heavy rains, so only the upper viewing area and parking lot will be open to the public. The bay was closed today due to hazardous conditions and debris.
The entire nature preserve is expected to reopen on Saturday.
