Harlem Globetrotters Coming to Honolulu

Forgive me for being a little pumped up about basketball today, what with my alma mater Lehigh taking down the vaunted Blue Devils of Duke. But there is some hoops-related news that fits into this Honolulu government blog.

Mayor Peter Carlisle is holding a news conference next week to announce that the Harlem Globetrotters will be performing at the Blaisdell Center Arena on May 12. That day will be proclaimed Harlem Globetrotters Day here in Honolulu.

The presser is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Blaisdell.
