Betsy Lin, campaign manager for Mazie Hirono, is using Missouri Sen. Roy Blunt‘s appearance at a Linda Lingle fundraiser to pitch for donations.

Excerpt from campaign email:

I can’t believe it. Just days after the Blunt Amendment was defeated, Linda Lingle is all too pleased to invite Senator Blunt as a special guest at her Washington fundraiser.

For all her public talk about “moderation” and “bipartisanship,” Linda Lingle is privately cozying up to right-wing extremists like Roy Blunt and Sarah Palin to help fund her campaign — and those are the interests she’d be serving if elected to the U.S. Senate.

The Blunt Amendment, which was defeated, would have given insurance companies and employers the right to deny contraception coverage in health care service for moral reasons.
