Inouye: GOP Risks Gov’t Shutdown With Budget

The Hill has this report that Dan Inouye and Kent Conrad say House Republicans will risk a government shutdown if they cut spending deeper than the caps set in last summer’s debt-ceiling deal.

The U.S. senators sent a letter Monday (March 19) urging House leaders not to lower the $1.047 trillion spending cap when the GOP budget is released Tuesday.
