The Zoning Board of Appeals contested case hearing on Kyo-ya’s controversial Waikiki hotel tower redevelopment has begun here at Mission Memorial.
Here’s the agenda for today’s meeting.
Linda Paul is making the opening statement for the petitioners — environmentalists like KAHEA and Surfrider. She’ll call four witnesses today, she said. The room is packed, and many attendees are wearing shirts identifying them as union supporters — folks who want the construction work.
The hearing won’t finish today, and is already scheduled to continue in two weeks, on April 5.
