A selective list of bills and briefings Thursday at the Capitol:

House Energy & Environmental Protection will meet to consider increasing landfill waste surcharges and to set up task forces to study recycling of electronic devices and tires.

Two House committees will meet to discuss several measures that are part of the “Justice Reinvestment Initiative” as well as a Hawaiian wellness center on the Big Island.

Two House committees will meet to take up the idea of requiring the attorney general to establish a working group to coordinate services for survivors of human trafficking.

House Judiciary will meet to address, among other bills, a measure allowing campaign funds to be used to award scholarships.

House Tourism will meet to look at one bill transferring control of film and digital media from DBEDT to the HTA, and another establishing standards and regulations for operators of ziplines and canopy tours.
