John McLeod pulled papers last week, signaling a potential run for mayor, according to the newest candidate report from the state’s Office of Elections.

Kirk Caldwell and Ben Cayetano pulled papers previously, though neither has yet filed. Peter Carlisle, the incumbent, has yet to start the process.

McLeod ran for the city’s top job in 2010, coming in last of seven candidates on the ballot with 391 votes (0.2 percent).

In other candidate filing news, Lillian Hong has pulled papers for a possible run for the City Council District 7 seat being vacated by the term-limited Romy Cachola. House Vice Speaker Joey Manahan is the only other candidate to pull papers in that race so far.
