Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was in Hawaii this week and laid out the new fiscal realities to the troops at a Town Hall meeting at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

Record federal debt and deficits is a huge problem, he said, and the military everywhere will feel the pinch.
