More Familiar Names Considering Re-election

In the latest filing with the state Office of Elections — as of Thursday, March 29 — more familiar names have pulled papers to run for the Hawaii Legislature. They include a heck of a lot of incumbents.

For the state Senate:

• Josh Green (who has actually already filed his papers), Roz Baker, David Ige and Gil Kahele (who faces Donald Ikeda in the primary)

For the state House:

• Mark Nakashima, Angus McKelvey, Kyle Yamashita, Derek Kawakami, Gene Ward, Tom Brower, Sylvia Luke, Linda Ichiyama, Ryan Yamane, Henry Aquino, Ty Cullen and Rida Cabanilla
