Kauai’s electric utility has been lauded for its plans to install smart meters in local homes and businesses, which allow people to track their electricity use.
But the smart meters have not gone over well with all residents. Last week, a resident filed a complaint with the federal court in Honolulu requesting an injunction to prevent the smart meter roll out.
