Here’s a look at Sen. Daniel Inouye‘s Tuesday planner, according to a spokesman: 

• Attending Democratic Conference luncheon

• Attending Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation hearing focused on how to prepare workers to meet the needs of “the innovation economy,” and how the use of public-private partnerships can spur technological development and grow jobs. 

• Meeting with Hawaii residents who are in Washington for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Legislative Conference (Sen. Daniel Akaka is also scheduled to meet with this group on Tuesday). 

• Meeting with Brig. Gen. Richard Stevens, commander of the Pacific Ocean Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. 

• Meeting with C.L. Max Nikias, president of the University of Southern California, along with other USC officials.
