Husband and wife Mark and Dana Ackerman, who both attend Brigham Young University in Laie, tout hand-made signs in support of their candidate, Ron Paul.  

The Ackermans are definitely among the minority in this rural community, where Mitt Romney has gained strong support. 

“He supports a sound monetary policy,” Mark Ackerman said of Paul. 

“If you listen to the debates, you realize that Ron Paul is the one who really understands what’s going around the world,” Dana Ackerman added.
