More trouble from the heavy rains. Officials can’t say yet how much sewage is being  spilled. But they are warning people to stay out of the water, in case you had been thinking of going for a swim on this rainy afternoon.

The city is battling two sewage spills in East Oahu, according to a press release from the Department of Environmental Services sent out Tuesday afternoon.

There’s an overflow at 1542 Pukele Avenue in Palolo that is releasing storm water and raw wastewater into Palolo Stream, which eventually flows into the Ala Wai Canal.

A second spill has occurred at 5307 Kalanianaole Highway where sewage is flowing into Wailupe Stream, which empties into Mauanlua Bay.
