Single-Use Bag Bill Moves Ahead in House

The House effectively squashed a bill that would impose fees on single-use bags at the check-out counter. 

But its Senate version, which crossed over to the House earlier this month, is moving forward. 

The Economic Revitalization and Business Committee passed it unanimously on Tuesday — as did the House Energy and Environmental Protection Committee last week.
