Survey Shows Teacher Job Satisfaction Plummeting

Teachers’ job satisfaction has plummeted from 59 percent to 44 percent over the last two years, according to the MetLife Survey of the American Teacher.

A number of factors probably have contributed to teacher satisfaction spiraling, including budget cuts, but education professor Kevin Welner speculates teachers also feel they are under siege from a number of angles.
