James Cameron descended to the ocean’s, and earth’s, deepest point on Monday. 

However it was “a bit of a failed experiment,” according to the Wall Street Journal. Cameron had to come up after three hours — he planned to stay for six hours. And a hydraulic link clouded his vision.
