Republican Party chair David Chang’s parents have joined him as he oversees what appears to be a successful evening of caucuses.
“We didn’t expect this many people,” Chang says.
Three locations ran out of ballots, and earlier in the evening party officials were taking more ballots to Jefferson Elementary.
People from various camps are starting to trickle into the HQ, which has been somewhat quiet for most of the evening.
Stacks of red-and-white Hawaii GOP shirts are still waiting to be passed out.
