That’s the question I asked Information Technology Deputy Director Forest Frizzell when I sat down with him a couple of weeks ago, just before the Code For America fellows wrapped up their time on Oahu.

Frizzell talked about the important role government can play in people’s lives, and the limit on that role. He shared his vision for a Honolulu where citizens crowdsource neighborhood watch programs over social networks and where technology brings people closer together.
