Dan, Dan and Colleen (but not Mazie; not sure why) have announced $2.8 million in federal grants to pay for housing and support services for patients living with HIV/AIDS.

The Gregory House Programs on Oahu will receive $1.39 million and the Maui AIDS Foundation will receive $1.44 million

The funds come from a competitive grant program, the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS, administered by HUD.

Quote from Dan Inouye:

It takes an extraordinary effort for anyone to live with HIV/AIDs and compounding that adversity with the search for work and shelter is a lot to ask of anyone.
