Akaka Pitches Plan to Improve Minority Health

Sen. Daniel Akaka on Friday introduced legislation aimed at improving health outcomes for minorities by improving access to care and increasing research on diseases that disproportionately affect minorities. 

Akaka is also calling for “accountability and transparency” from federal agencies when it comes to addressing minority health issues.
