Famous astronomer, Buzz Aldrin, encouraged state legislation that would create an aerospace high-tech district in Hilo, according to the Hawaii Tribune Herald.
House Bill 2872 would create a district that offers businesses tax incentives to locate to Hilo.
The legislation targets companies “wanting to advance space exploration and even settlement of other planets.”
