Coast Guard Fires on Tsunami ‘Ghost Ship’

The U.S. Coast Guard has fired cannons at the Japanese squid trawler that has been drifting across the Pacific Ocean since it was swept into the sea a year ago during the massive tsunami that hit Japan.

The ship is drifting closer and closer to the coast of Alaska and maritime officials are worried about danger in the commercial shipping lanes.
