It might not be Kailua after all.

Brian Takeda from R.M. Towill this morning announced that there was a data error last week when his company released the ranked list of 11 potential landfill sites. Ameron Quarry in Kailua came in No. 1 on that list, but a new list will be issued today.

Here are the details of the media advisory, which said there would be a 2 p.m. press conference today to discuss:

(1) A data error occurred during the meeting of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee onFriday, April 20th

(2) A revised list of rank sites is being issued to the Mayor’s Advisory Committee

(3) The data error that occurred does not impact the integrity of the site rankingprocess

More coming later.
