Gov Names Takeuchi Deputy DCCA Director

Jo Ann Uchida Takeuchi is now deputy director of the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.

Takeuchi has worked with DCCA for nearly 22 years. Since 1999, she was the Complaints and Enforcement Officer with DCCA’s Regulated Industries Complaints Office.

Uchida fills the vacancy left by Everett Kaneshige. Despite repeated inquires from Civil Beat, DCCA Director Kealii Lopez declined to explain why Kaneshige departed earlier this year.
