When work crews are out cutting the grass on Lanai it’s often a sign that the island’s billionaire owner, David Murdock is on his way.

And as rumors swirl about a pending sale of the island, his visits have been met with increasing anxiety by local residents.

From Civil Beat’s source on the ground:

As of Tuesday morning multiple persons stating , “David Murdock is due on Lana’i…maybe tonight…sometime this week with a guest from Oracle.”  I know the grass-cutting teams are out in force this morning, usually a sign someone is coming.  One or two who had business in the main office said personnel going nuts today…another sign something is happening.
