The average price of regular gas across Hawaii hit a new record high of $4.59 Wednesday, according to AAA Hawaii.
That’s up from an average of $4.55 a week ago, and $4.32 a year ago.
Hawaii has the highest average among the states. Alaska is in the No. 2 spot with an average price of $4.36, followed by California with an average $4.29.
Here’s a look at the local metro areas AAA tracks as of Wednesday:
- Honolulu: $4.47 for regular
- Wailuku, Maui: $4.78 for regular
- Hilo, Hawaii: $4.75 for regular
