Sixty-three more schools will be added next year to the 18 currently participating in Hawaii’s teacher evaluation pilot program. Department of Education officials released the list today.

The program was a key component in the state’s Race to the Top application.

With lawmakers effectively killing bills to legislate teacher evaluations, the pilot program (and related Ed Board policies to be voted on today) may be all the more critical.
