Elisa Yadao, a spokeswoman for Mazie Hirono‘s campaign for the U.S. Senate, says her boss has accepted five debate appearances with Ed Case, her primary Democratic opponent.

However, none of them appear to be on commercial television, which would have the largest statewide audience. Case had previously accepted debate invites from KITV-Civil Beat, KHON and Hawaii News Now-Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

Instead, the appearances are on Hawaii public television, Hawaii Public Radio, before Oahu County Democrats, with AARP Hawaii and with the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association.
