On Monday (April 2) I posted an item on how Dan, Dan and Colleen had announced $2.8 million in HUD grant funding in support of housing and service programs that assist patients living with HIV/AIDS in Hawaii.

Where was Mazie, I wondered allowed.

The office of Rep. Hirono passed along this helpful statement Tuesday (April 3):

As researchers continue their efforts to find a cure, investments in organizations such as the Maui AIDS Foundation and Gregory House Programs remain critical to helping those who have contracted HIV. These outstanding local organizations provide their clients the counseling, training, and housing stability they need. Knowing the Maui AIDS Foundation’s reputation and having met Gregory House’s leadership, I understand the tireless passion of our local advocates and the difference they make in the lives of so many. I will continue to support their efforts.
