Kirk Caldwell picked up yet another union endorsement in his run for mayor this morning.
“We are supporting Kirk because he shares our values of fairness, hard work and honesty. He has the ability to work with others to get things done, he has experience in every branch of government, and he has experience running the city,” International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 142 President Donna Domingo said in a press release today.
The ILWU claims to be the state’s largest private-sector union, with 18,000 members statewide. It said it landed on Caldwell after interviewing both Peter Carlisle and Ben Cayetano.
