The U.S. Senate Tuesday (April 24) voted against a Republican-backed motion “intended to block a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) rule to speed up union elections.”
The vote was 54 nays to 45 ayes, mostly along party lines. Sens. Dan Inouye and Dan Akaka voted in the majority.
