Sen. Daniel Inouye is set to be in Hawaii this week, but he and his wife Irene Hirano made a stop in Michigan along the way.

The Press & Guide, a local newspaper out of Dearborn, Mich., reported on Tuesday that the couple took a private tour of the Arab American National Museum.

Dearborn is just outside of metro Detroit. The town is known for its large population of Arab Americans, and for being the home of industrialist Henry Ford.
